안녕하세요. 에스더기도운동본부입니다. 오는 7월 6일 월요일부터 11일 토요일까지 5박 6일의 일정으로 Jesus Army 청년 컨퍼런스가 수원 흰돌산 기도원에서 열립니다.

Esther Prayer Movement Organization is going to hold “2nd Jusus Army Conference” from July 6 to 11th at Hindolsan Kidowon (White Stone Prayer House) in Suwon.

목회자, 신학생, 미주에서 오는 2세들, 탈북자 500여명과 남한청년 등 나라를 위한 중보자로 부름받은 3500명의 군화신은 주님의 신부들을 향한 소집 명령이 떨어졌습니다.

Pastors, seminary students, Korean-Americans in the USA, 500 North Korean refugees, and youths from S. Korea will all gather together to pray for the calling from Jesus as His brides.

지금은 깨어 기도하며 이 나라를 위해 울부짖어야 할 때입니다. 다가올 대부흥을 준비하며 우리민족의 죄악을 회개하고 이 나라 이 민족을 향한 하나님의 비전이 이루어지기를 기도해야 합니다. 또한 북한을 사랑하시는 주님의 마음을 품고 북한의 수많은 잃어버린 영혼들을 향한 중보가 절실한 때입니다.

Now it is time to pray and cry out in front of the Lord seeking His face and mercy. We have to stand in the place of the repentance and the intercession on behalf of the sins of our nation. Also, we have to pray for North Korea with the heart of Jesus for the people to prepare for the great revival which is coming.

Call to Prayer
-24/365 House of Prayer for All Nations-

1. Call to Prayer launched at Monday Prayer Meeting

On August, 1990, late Eul-Yong Park, Ph D. (an elder in Onnuri Church and assistant president at Handong University, passed away on April, 2005) called for a preparatory meeting with five like-minded people to start an intercessory prayer meeting for Korea. At that time, immorality and decadent Epicureanism were rapidly spreading, corroding Korean society. Folk saying such as “only the non-privileged obey laws” became popular. Bribery and corruption were rampant. The decaying morals of the country brought rise to a culture steeped in the love of money, obsessed with partying and filled with nationalistic pride. At the same time, the Lord was desperately seeking people who would offer up intersession, repenting for this people’s iniquities on their behalf, building up the wall and standing before Him, so He would not have to destroy us.

“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.”

(Ezekiel 22:30)An intercessory prayer meeting had begun through this national consciousness of future crisis that was to cry out for “building a righteous society” to accomplish God’s justice. On July, 1992, the Upper Room Evangelistic Association of Ewha University started regular Monday prayer meeting for our country. Intercessory prayers shared Lord’s guiding words in each meeting and held seminars to be equipped with professional knowledge from specialists in various fields. The Holy Spirit directed intercessory prayer meetings to pray for politics, economy, society, education, mass media, churches, North Korea/Unification, and ministry. As the year of 1994 began, the Holy Spirit laid even more burdens on our hearts to pray harder, especially for North Korea. Lord deeply convicted us because we had been indifferent of the cries of agony and groans of 23 million North Koreans. It was His own pathos for the perishing North Koreans who were beaten and starved to death, without having an opportunity to listen to gospel. They have been dying of anti-Christ’s attacks -Communism and Atheism- just like the Samaritan beaten and robbed on the way to Jericho. God was asking “who would be neighbors to the starved North Koreans?” In God’s eyes, we were exactly the same as the priest and Levite who turned away from their brother’s suffering. The shortage of food in North Korea was worsened at the end of 1995. As North Korea’s extreme poverty was being reported, our intercessory prayers became more concentrated on North Korea, the spiritual warfare was intense. On July, 1996, Monday Prayer Meeting considered it as an emergency and urged a praying movement, “Intensive Praying for North Korea” which continued for 63 days from June 30th to September 30th. The most critical shortage of food was anticipated in North Korea during this period. The agenda was as follows:

1. Praying three times a day at meal times for the food shortage in North Korea.
2. Praying more than half hour a day for North Korea.
3. Relay fast and praying for 63 days.
4. Special fast on August 15th; the spiritual and physical salvation for North Koreans.

Simultaneously, we began undertaking the serious task of bringing South Korean churches’ attention to the significance and urgency of North Korean crisis. A prospectus and newsletters about North Korea were mailed out to 46,000 churches in South Korea. It was a tough task for a small prayer meeting to mail out more than 40,000 printed materials. Mailing process continued for 21 nights and days in a row from August 12th to September 1st without a pause. We were given Holy-spirit-driven burning love for our Northern brethren. Our love for them was stronger than the heat of that summer. PR for “Aid for North Korea” was carried out via Christian mass media (broadcasting, newspaper, and magazines). God himself made a way for us to present the reality of North Korea and “Aid for North Korea” to many prayer meetings and seminars. A prophetic outcry is needed to awaken this people in this age. Who would stand up for Jesus’ wailing heart toward three million North Koreans while they are dying of starvation and diseases?

2. Call to Prayer leads to Shinchon 24/365 House of Prayer

I have been visiting IHOP (International House of Prayer) in Kansas every summer since 2003. Abundant grace was poured out upon me through classes, worship, praising, praying, and the hearing of God’s word. Programs in IHOP go on 24 hours 365 days. I had many opportunities to meet with Korean missionaries there. They encouraged me to expand the Monday prayer meeting to a 24/365 prayer ministry and blessed it. On August, 2005, when I visited JHOP (Justice House of Prayer) in Washington D.C., Pastor Lou Engle and several JHOP staff members blessed us and prayed for me to start JHOP in Korea. I doubted its possibility while listening to their prayers about the 24/365 prayer house. I could not think it was feasible to manage a 24/365 payer ministry along with my full time job, evangelical ministries, and church ministries. Despite my negative reasoning, on September, 2005, Korean staffs in IHOP started a weekly prayer meeting for the 24/365 house of prayer in Shinchon. I felt God was working in me to transform my pessimistic attitude.

First, the thought that just a Monday prayer meeting was insufficient kept bothering my conscience. Both South and North Korea were in spiritual crisis. Great fear of the possibility of communized South Korea and the inevitable judgment of war overwhelmed me every time I prayed for the liberation and salvation of North Koreans. The fear seemed to me to be a spiritual war in a national scale which would be unbeatable without day and night prayer. Life and death were in the balance.

Second, I saw myself standing in the way of God’s purpose to start the 24/365 prayer. God said to me, “Do not block my way with your own counting. Once you declare it, numerous people I reserved will devote themselves to it. I will anoint them with intercessory spirit of praying all day and night.” In the middle of December, 2005, Lord cleared up my negative ideas about the impossibility of a 24/365 prayer house. The Lord made me feel at ease with in submission to his will. I could share my passion and vision with others in His peace. Members of our Monday prayer meeting embraced the vision of 24/365 prayer ministry with one heart. At the end of February, 2005, a retreat for the prayer school was held. During this retreat, twenty intercessory prayer warriors dedicated to full-time praying (more than 40 hours weekly) and many devoted to part-time praying (more than 20 hours weekly). We then realized there was a need for a space to pray. After praying together in unity, a house of prayer was given to us. It was just a token of God’s grace and blessing for us.

Thanks to the prayers and dedication of numerous believers, 24/365 praying ministry has finally launched in Shinchon.

24/365 prayer has always been running through Christian history. Moravian prayer movement, continued for more than 100 years, was a representative sample of it. Through this movement, John Wesley was converted and numerous missionaries were dispatched. Though it has not been often recorded by historians, the Holy-spirit has masterminded numerous 24/365 praying ministries at monasteries, local churches, and anonymous small prayer meetings for ages. The current trend of arising 24/365 houses of prayer all over the world, including IHOP has been expanding exponentially. The prayer movement’s rapid growth at this time is unprecedented.

IHOP was founded in 1999 and there are more than 400 full-time committed prayers for nights and days. There are more than 10 places for praying 24/365 in the United States. Besides that, I have met many other intercessory prayers at IHOP who serve for House of Pray ministries in Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel, and other countries. I also believe that more of 24/365 prayer houses will spring up all over South Korea. Lord has been leading us to pray for that. Actually, many believers have responded to this calling. I convince that it will be happening in South Korea in a very near future and following into North Korea as well. Right now, our discernment is needed to perceive the meaning of God’s worldwide 24/365 House of Prayer ministry for our time.

. they will never be silent day or night………. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. (Isaiah 62: 6-7) Isaiah 62:6-7 tells us to pray night and day (24/365) until He is praised by all nations when Jerusalem is re-established. I interpret it as Jesus’ second coming. Lord has been calling many intercessory prayers to the 24/365 ministry in preparing for that. While Anna prepared Jesus’ first coming with vigil and fast, the bride of Jesus, churches of all nations, will prepare Jesus’ second coming with a united heart in prayer. This expanding 24/365 prayer movement is the key to the heavens to fulfill Lord’s mission on earth ahead of His advent.

The revival to come through 24/365 prayer will become a national revival, not local. The waves of this revival will reach over from nation to nation and from people to people. It will continue to be a global spiritual revival and a great harvest of souls in the last days. It will restore Israel and adorn believers as “pure brides” passionate with a love for Jesus that is stronger than death.

3. Call to Prayer : Esther Fasting Prayer with 7000

On July 7th, 2006, prayer warriors from Again 1907 and 24/365 Shinchon House of Prayer had a Friday all-night prayer meeting together at Upper Room Evangelistic Association of Ewha University. During this vigil, deacon Eun-Hyung Lee was inspired by Holy Spirit to share the call to an Esther Fast for our country with 7000 people from January 4th to 6th, 2007. That was a call I did not want to answer. It, however, rather moved me so deeply and dynamically that I could not ignore it. Lord moved my heart and commanded me to embrace it with Amen and declare it to the world. I held it off till the end of the vigil, but in the end submitted to the Lord. ‘Out of the frying pan into the fire…..’ I was about to take a breather after opening the Shinchon House of Prayer on May 26th, but a bigger mission with an Esther Fast was coming up around the cornerOn July 18th, my heart was burdened with the Esther Fast on my way flying to IHOP in Kansas. The more I brooded over it, the more I realized prayer and fasting would be necessary to overcome our national crisis. I made up my mind to embrace it and the matter was settled. Still, it appeared to be too tough for me and members of Shinchon House of Prayer to manage a three day fast with 7000 people. I started to talk about Esther Fast of 2007 with every one I met in Chicago and IHOP. I spread out words about it to whomever I had chance to speak with, regardless of Koreans, Americans, Chinese, etc. We prayed for it together and I requested them to pray about it. August 7th to 9th was a fasting period for the entire IHOP. When praying for the Esther Fast, I was asked to preach at Kansas Mission Church. At first, I turned it down to concentrate on praying for the Esther Fast. But right after, Holy Spirit awoke me to “proclaim Esther Fast as often as you can.” So I went there and described the reality of crisis Korea was facing, and announced Esther Fast to a small group of people. Lord moved their hearts and raised intercessory prayers for Esther Fast among them. They have been supporting me with fasting ever since. We prayed for the Esther Fast at weekly meetings of IHOP Korean ministry. Lord gave me many words through them at the meeting held in the last evening of my stay in IHOP. One missionary drew a picture of chains looked like a pyramid. That was, 5 people joined to 1 person, 25 to the 5, 125 to the 25, 625 to the 125, 3,125 to the 625, and 15,625 to the 3,125. One revelation that came upon me was about magnets. Magnets draw metal pieces and the magnetism from the magnet runs through them. Due to this multiplied magnetism, more other metal pieces keep clinging to them, and they continue growing. When Esther Fast inspired prayer warriors share about it with people, their heart will be moved and keep going on and on until a huge army of allied praying warriors stands up. There were also words given repeatedly to me, “

Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.” (Joel 2:15)

I believe that Lord will bring forth Koreans living in foreign countries to embrace fasting and prayer to bring breakthrough for the crisis in Korea. The second and third Korean-American generations who don’t speak Korean will be praying in tears for Korea as well. Multitudes among the 6.7 million Koreans spread out widely on this globe, will participate in it. Lord also told me to publicize the crisis in South Korea and pray together with underground churches in North Korea and China. The issue of overcoming this crisis in Korea doesn’t fall upon South Korea’s shoulder solely because Churches in unified Korea and churches in China will work together toward the mission of ‘Back to Jerusalem.’ I explained about the Esther Fast and made prayer requests to American staffs in IHOP. As a part of global church, churches in South Korea are one body to be conjoined with the bride of Jesus. I request that all churches in the world to pray for South Korea. So Lord’s calling for South Korea will not be damaged by the evil one’s schemes. The year of 2007 is significant. It is Pyongyang’s great revival centennial. The presidential election is scheduled in December as well. The crisis in Korean could be maximized at that point. South Korea will fight fiercely spiritual battles in order to elect God’s man to be the president who will prepare for unified Korea and evangelized Korea. Just like the prophet Elijah destroyed prophets of Baal and Asherah on Mount Carmel to prove that Lord is only true God, we must contend against a spirit of communism that is atheistic and anti-Christ, as well as a spirit of immorality, and materialism. That is why we have to wail loudly and bitterly, and fast in the beginning of 2007. Before God, we have to repent poignantly on behalf of the fiendish sins Koreans have committed. We must rend our hearts. Just like Esther finding favor before the King destroyed Haman, we ought to be willing to say, “If I perish, I perish” and stand up for God’s grace to destroy the spiritual Haman unbeatable with our own flesh and temper. Three day fast will not solve all the problems Korea has been suffering from. Esther Fast is merely a beginning of prayer movement for the nation’s salvation. God will anoint those devoted to prayer with Esther’s spirit and build up an army of prayer: spiritual Esthers. This army will be composed of powerful intercessory warriors who will be hated by this world. The Lord will lead a ceaseless prayer among this army united in the Holy Spirit. My expectation is that salvation for South and North Korea, and restoration of all nations to God will be accomplished through continuous prayer. I give all gratefulness, royalty, and glory to God. Hallelujah! “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

The meaning of 24/365 prayer ministry

There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. (Luke 2:36-38)

God called Anna to prepare for the first coming of Jesus. She prepared and celebrated the infant Jesus’ coming with prayer. She also told people about Jesus.
